Automatic smoke curtains work with fire curtains and SHEVS systems to protect against fire, smoke, and hot gases. These barriers save lives and property, enabling open-air designs where a permanent fire-rated partition would otherwise be required.
Features
- For larger widths, multiple overlapped curtains are available with intelligent controls. The connected bottom bar ensures synchronized descent.
- Our system includes a gravity-based fail-safe mechanism that ensures the curtain will always descend to its operational position, even in a complete power failure.
- Segmented or facetted curtains can be achieved using a curved bottom bar if desired. Smoke sealing is available for the "S" class designation (UL 10D).
- Our motor system incorporates current sensing technology and offers additional options such as fire alarm override, voice warning, and monitoring systems. It is also cost-effective and trouble-free, with a two-stage descent facility and strobe light.
- The Smoke Curtain complies with several standards, including EN 12101-1:2006, BS 7346 Part 3, and UL 10 B, C, D. It also meets the requirements of BS EN12101-1, deflection standards of BS EN12101-1, BS 7346 Part 4 2000, and UL 10 B, C, D & DS, BS7346 Part 3 1990. Rigorous testing has been conducted on curtains that overlap and join together. This ensures reliability, adjustable, safe speeds, and edge gap gravity fail-safe measures.
